Free Knitting Pattern lists knitting — two needles, a row of live stitches — not crochet. Yarn brands often publish both crafts on the same website. If a brand page is crochet, it is not in the catalog.

What counts as knitting in the catalog?

A listing has to be a knitting pattern on the publisher’s own page: instructions written for needles. As of August 2026, that is 31 comparisons from 5 yarn-brand publishers. Hook-only patterns from those same brands are left out, even when they sit next to knitting files in the brand shop.

If you were looking for crochet

Those files stay with the yarn brand. Free Knitting Pattern does not compare them and does not convert a knitting pattern into crochet. For knitting, open the directory and choose by skill, project type, and publisher.
