Free Fancy Cable Pattern

Adapted from mon tricot Knitting Dictionary Stitches Patterns

TERMS:

Cr 6 R = slip 3 sts on to a cable needle and leave at front of work, knit next 3 sts, then knit 3 sts from cable needle.

PATTERN:

Rows 1, 5, : P3, k 12, p3.

Rows 2, 4, 6, 8: maintain sts from previous row (k the knits, and p the purls).

Row 3:  P3, [Cr6 R]  twice, p3.

Row 7: P3, k3, Cr 6 R, k3, p3.

SWATCH:

With worsted weight yarn and size 6 needles.  Cast on 28 sts.  Work 1" in seed st.  Continuing seed st border on first and last 5 sts for full length of swatch beg pattern and work through 3 times.  Finish with 1" seed st.  Bind off in pattern.
