The trunk show of yarns, kits and models from Hand Paint Knitting Yarn has arrived today and will be on display throughout September and the first week of October. Our Saturday Sidewalk Sales will be really special for the rest of the year. We are doing inventory during the week, and putting wonderful surprises outside every Saturday. Our aid worker contact has moved to yet another location in Afghanistan (central, in the mountains). She is requesting warm clothing for girls of all ages for a local orphanage, and for the small number of women and children in the local prison. We have quite a stash built up from the last few months and will start shipping immediately! She said it's already getting cooler at night so that you need a sweater. That means it will be downright frigid come winter!
If you wish to help, please knit WARM items - scarves, socks, sweaters, hats and drop them off at the store. We will ship boxes to her directly as we get them filled. Thanks for all the help that our great customers always provide!

We are now going to CLOSE on Wednesday at 5pm like the rest of the days. Just not enough people taking classes, shopping or even coming to sit and knit at that time. So how our hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 - 5. Closed Sunday.

we have received new Katia books - two for adults, one for babies and one for kids. Great patterns for all ages and using many of their new yarns. The books have been disappearing like hotcakes and we'll do a re-order soon. of course the first order took 6 months to get here.... hmmm..

We've also ordered from a NEW company - Madeline Tosh - and many people will be really excited about that! Woo hoo!. Yarn should arrive the first week of August.

New colors in Eros (yes, that ladder yarn is back in popularity). We have peacock, purples and black and white.

Garments, home decor, and the yarn and kit to make your inspirations come true! It is set to start on September 1 and run for the entire month. We are very happy and lucky to get this great opportunity for our customers to see a wonderful selection of inspirational designs. From Berroco - new colors (and old re-stocks) in Comfort and Vintage, various weights. These are such wonderful yarns and have become customer favorites. The wool content in Vintage (40%) gives it more warmth, and the blend is machine washable and remarkably soft. Someone even commented that Vintage Chunky feels like cashmere! For $7 per hank - that's a real bargain. Colors sell out fast, so come in soon to get your favorites.
